Rio Salonis waterfall is a stunning waterfall immersed in wonderful wood. It is not so big, but its stream is very varied and rich with a lot of small pools. The waterfall itself is pointed by the red placemark in Google Maps, but in the place marked with the number 1, there is a really nice stream, that goes until the waterfall, where you can take a lot of pictures very interesting. Also, the wood is very nice, rich with beautiful trees and rocks. Rio Salonis waterfall is near the village of Morgongiori, a small town in the Sardinian hinterland.
 Access rating

Arriving there is pretty easy and there is parking for the car. To reach the stream (point 1) and the waterfall follows the path marked in red on the map below. Also in this case using a couple of wellingtons is desirable, mostly for taking photos inside the stream. But if you are worried to get lost, or you need more information or need a guide don't hesitate to contact me.

 How to get there

From the village, follow Santa Lucia street until the cross with SC Morgongiori is benas road. Follow that road using the map until you'll get to the parking area. As I wrote above, you can go before to the stream (point 1) and after to the waterfall. The paths are quite evident in the ground, so I think it should be quite easy to reach the spots.

 What to shoot

The waterfall, the stream, trees, rocks.

 Other times of years

This waterfall is active only in winter, during the rainy season.

 Nearby locations

In the area near the waterfall, there is another waterfall (Sa spendula di Aleas), and a huge forest surrounding the area, so if you like walking in nature, this is the right place for you. There're two obsidian mining parks where to see some interesting rock formations.
